ProjeHERO: A 3-Stage STEM Learning Model Aligned with Global Goals
ProjeHERO integrates Global Goals, Design Thinking, and Engineering Design Processes to provide students with a 3-stage learning model designed to enhance their STEM skills. This project draws inspiration from Asbads (Windmills) to create a learning experience rooted in sustainable energy.
Awareness Stage - Historical Perspective (Project History):
Students learn about the history of Asbads, traditional windmills, and their significance in sustainable energy production. This stage fosters an understanding of the scientific and cultural importance of historical engineering solutions, helping students connect the past with modern innovation.
Discovery Stage - Exploring Modern Technologies (Project Explore):
In the second stage, students explore various propeller types to understand their role in energy generation. This phase incorporates the research and prototype development stages of the Engineering Design Process. By experimenting with different designs, students discover ways to optimize energy conversion.
Testing and Production Stage - Product Development (Project Production):
In the final stage, students design and produce their own hand fan. They apply the prototyping, testing, and refinement stages of Design Thinking, enhancing their products with innovative features. This process encourages creative solutions for sustainable energy challenges.
ProjeHERO aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by raising awareness about sustainability, energy efficiency, and innovation. It also adheres to ISTE Standards, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative production skills.
Join ProjeHERO to combine the innovations of the past with today’s technologies and shape the engineers of tomorrow!
