ProjeHERO: A 3-Stage STEM Learning Model Aligned with Global Goals
ProjeHERO combines Global Goals, Design Thinking, and Engineering Design Processes to provide students with a 3-stage learning approach that enhances their STEM skills. This project engages students in exploration and production, inspired by Samuel Morse’s groundbreaking innovations.
Awareness Stage - Historical Perspective (Project History):
In this stage, students learn about Samuel Morse’s contributions to telegraph technology. By studying Morse’s scientific legacy, they understand the foundations of communication technologies and their historical development. This process helps students recognize the impact of scientific discoveries on humanity.
Discovery Stage - Exploring Modern Technologies (Project Explore):
In the second stage, students explore modern tools such as buzzers and engage in hands-on activities to develop their ideas. This phase incorporates the research and ideation stages of the Engineering Design Process, enabling students to acquire critical thinking skills aimed at creating innovative solutions.
Testing and Production Stage - Product Development (Project Production):
In the final stage, students design, produce, and test a working telegraph model. They apply the prototyping and refinement stages of Design Thinking, adding innovation to their basic models. This hands-on process fosters creativity and the ability to develop sustainable solutions.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), ProjeHERO raises awareness about sustainability, innovation, and energy efficiency. It also adheres to ISTE Standards, focusing on critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative production skills.
Join ProjeHERO to merge historical inspiration, innovative thinking, and sustainable development, and shape the leaders of tomorrow!
